'Buzz' E. Strayer Yake and Nikki L. Yake co-founders of Yakes Travel Agency

E. Strayer Yake and Nikki L. Yake co-founded Yakes Travel in 1981 as a full-service travel agency. They began their journey as a Sandals Brand Resorts agency in 2004 and have steadily climbed the ranks of Sandals travel agencies. They were recently recognized as the #8 Sandals Preferred Agency in the North Eastern United States, and continue to grow in reach and expertise.

In 2008, the travel agency moved into their new corporate location at 2201 E. Market Street, York, PA 17403.

Yakes Travel is a Preferred Sandals, Beaches and Royal Plantation agency specializing in Weddingmoons, Honeymoons, couples in love and family vacations. They are a member of Ensemble Travel Group and the York Chamber of Commerce.

E. Strayer Yake

President
Known to most as “Buzz,” Strayer Yake is a graduate of Penn State University. He worked in management in the banking industry for 15 years prior to establishing Yakes Travel with his wife in 1981. He brought his sons into the business in the last 1980's, and has since handed the travel-agent side of the business over to them. He over-sees the general functioning of the business now that he has retired as an agent. Buzz has been an Advisory Board member of the International Association of Travel Agencies.

Nikki L. Yake

Senior Vice President
Nikki Yake became a travel agent in 1981, and has recently moved from the sales aspect of the business to manage the office and take care of book keeping. Nikki was certified as a Travel Counselor by the Institute of Certified Travel Agents.

John M. Yake

Vice President and Travel Consultant
John Yake began working as a travel agent with Yakes Travel in 1987. In the 22+ years that John has been making peoples' dream vacations a reality, he has taken the time to personally visit all of the Sandals, Beaches and Royal Plantation Resorts. He has come to specialize in honeymoons and wedding moons, couples who are in love and family vacations, as well as fully-tailored luxury vacations. He enjoys taking his own family to Beaches' resorts when he vacations.

Thomas S. Yake

Tom Yake began his career at Yakes Travel in 1984. One of his passions has always been travel. Throughout the years, he has traveled to many places around the world including several Sandals and Beaches Resorts. Tom specializes in wedding moons, honeymoons and leisure travel. He enjoys giving clients vacations with memories to last a lifetime.p>

Georgy Daugherty

Travel Consultant
Georgy Daugherty began her career as a travel agent in 2005 when she joined the team at Yakes Travel. She spent 25 years in management, and used Yakes Travel to plan amazing and memorable vacations, including a Sandals Resort vacation, long before she began making other peoples' dreams come true. Georgy specializes in wedding moons and honeymoons.
